Objective

The aim of this course is to enhance students’ learning in security architectures applied in mobile/wireless communications.

Course Contents

  • Security parameters/threats that threaten the mobile/wireless networks; security measures in mobile/wireless networks like: Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN).
  • Personal Area Network (PAN).
  • Radio-frequency identification (RFID).
  • Global System for Mobile communications (GSM), General Packet Radio Services (GPRS), Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS).
  • 4th Generation (4G) heterogeneous networks, ad hoc networks and sensor networks.
