The Position
As the E-learning Specialist, you will work with the business units to design, develop, implement, and evaluate online and/or blended learning. You will collaborate with project stakeholders to develop learning solutions to meet business objectives and make recommendations to ensure performance outcomes are attained. You will also perform administrative duties, maintain our online course catalog and conduct training courses.
Job Specifics
Partner with business units and key stakeholders to identify and implement targeted training solutions that support the credit union’s business objectives: Conduct training needs assessment to determine training objectives, instructional approaches, project scope and resource requirements. Design, develop, deliver and maintain training programs for multiple delivery modes including e-learning, instructor-led, and/or blended learning environments. Establish measurements for training effectiveness including surveying, tracking, reporting and analyzing training data and participation. Assist in establishing procedures, standards, goals and quality controls for all training functions: Develop e-learning modules for product knowledge, policy and procedures, staff development, systems and management training. Perform administrative functions of the Learning Management System. Create training program schedules, send announcements, prepare training rooms and maintain tracking reports. Responsible for auditing data integrity, ensuring compliance and accuracy for training content and materials. Maintain, update and revise the Training Department intranet site when necessary. Assist the Training Manager/AVP with the allocation, expense and tracking of training funds to include any recommendations to the following year’s training budget. Prepare employee data and internal reports for management as needed. Keep informed of latest trends in training methods by attending workshops and seminars. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Provident Credit Union products and services. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Provident Credit Union operations and personnel policies and procedures. Maintain teaching/training expertise in all new products, services and systems implemented by the credit union. Teach where appropriate, all additional courses developed within the Training Department. Assist in implementation of service quality standards and measurement of success. Provide outstanding service to every member and internal customer. Promote team participation within Provident Credit Union. Recommend methods for effectiveness and efficiency. Assist in any area as requested by management. Complete required BSA & OFAC training annually. Understand and adhere to BSA & OFAC policies and procedures, including reporting suspicious activity. Education/Training
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Adult Education, Instructional Design, or related field. A minimum of two years of organizational development or training expertise, preferably within the credit union or financial services industry. Job Knowledge/Experience:
Experience developing courses utilizing the following software products is required (Adobe Captivate or equivalent). Knowledge of instructional design theory, concepts, principles, and techniques is required. Experience with video recording, editing and publishing for e-learning is preferred. Experience in basic web page design and HTML coding is preferred. Working knowledge of: Employment Law California Credit Union Law and Rules and Regulations Provident Credit Union Board Policies NCUA Rules and Regulations Provident Credit Union policies and Human Resources departmental procedures Working knowledge of credit union operations, product/service delivery systems and data processing capabilities. Experience managing a Learning Management System (BVS Performance Systems). Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience working with Taleo HRIS and Microsoft Access and Lync are a plus.
