We know well what it means to give young people opportunities. Aristotle Onassis started very young with a vision in his luggage and conquered the world. That is why, ever since 1978, we release potential, having offered more than 7,000 scholarships. And we keep going. Through our scholarship programs, the Foundation constantly supports those who excel, who wish to distinguish themselves in their discipline and chase their dreams.

Morpheus Cup 2018: Registration of students

The competition:
You can win up to 50,000 € worth of prizes on the Morpheus Prize and / or Morpheus Day. The students are invited to take part in the championship through two different challenges:

  • The MORPHEUS PRIZE: students can compete individually or by team. The candidate or his team picks a category and send a 10 slides presentation in English before March 15th, 2018 to share an idea, a research project or a start-up.
  • The MORPHEUS DAY: a live competition to take place in Palais Brongniart, on April 12th, 2018 and during which teams of 2-3 students gather to take up challenges, meet employers and face their European counterparts.

On April 12th, the live competition will be evaluated by an outstanding jury including:

Ever since 1978, the Onassis Foundation has been working consistently to secure the necessary funds for scholarships. Thousands of scholars, selected with meritocracy and transparency, have realized their dreams and have spread their wings high. Students, scientists and artists, have opened their horizons, enriched their knowledge and through their work, have benefited the society in return.

This is the essence of “public benefit” for the Onassis Foundation:
It benefits our fellow citizens so that they can benefit society in return.

The Foundation has announced its 40th Program of Scholarships for Hellenes for postgraduate and doctoral studies in various scientific and artistic disciplines.

The Foundation has announced its 18th Program of Scholarships for Hellenes for postgraduate or doctoral studies in organized programs of Greek Public Universities in various scientific and artistic disciplines.

“e-Skills for Jobs 2014 Grand Event: Mobilising to Support Job Creation and Upskilling of the Workforce”, 6 May 2014, Athens-Greece

The e-Skills for Jobs 2014 campaign aims to raise awareness of the need for citizens to improve their command of ICT skills for work. The campaign is a response to the growing demand for ICT-skilled professionals which is currently not met, despite high level of unemployment in Europe.

The campaign comes under the umbrella of the Commission’s Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs, an EU-wide multi-stakeholder partnership helping to address a shortfall in the number of European citizens with ICT professional skills, and to exploit the employment creation potential of ICT.
