Job Description
The incumbent will create training videos using Camtasia Studio8, develop video scripts, user guides, and other training materials for the roll out of a web-based application. This position requires excellent writing skills, and a high level of expertise in video and sound editing using Camtasia and other software systems. The incumbent will:
- Be trained in the new web application, and then
- Plan and write a series of instructional videos in the use of that application, to be reviewed by subject matter experts
- Record the instructional videos using Camtasia
- Add Camtasia effects and callouts
- Add knowledge evaluation test questions to be provided (at the end of each module using the Quiz function of Camtasia
- Update/ customize generic user guides and training presentations to more accurately reflect NYPAs implementation of the application.
Requirements
The right candidate will have a technical background, with experience in learning and development. He/she will be expected to demonstrate the following:
- Ability to quickly learn and work with technical subject matter to design and develop product training materials
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in e-Learning, custom content development, training material development, and corporate teaching/delivery
- Expertise working with Camtasia
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent oral presentation skills and a clear, understandable voice
- Strong judgment and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
In particular, demonstrated experience with the following is required:
- Curriculum design and development of training materials
- Video script writing
- Camtasia
- Graphic Design (experience in, concepts)
- Voice over & sound editing
- Video narration
- Video production
