Symeon Retalis, Professor

Symeon Retalis, Professor. Undergraduate studies at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, Greece (Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 1994). Graduate studies at the Department of Artificial Intelligence, University of Edinburgh, Scotland (MSc in Information Technology-Knowledge Based Systems, 1995) and at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, Greece (PhD in Computer Engineering, 1998). His research interests lie on the development of elearning systems, hypermedia systems design, and human computer interaction. He serves in the editorial board of international journals like Computers in Human Behavior Journal, Educational Technologies and Research, and participates to the ACM Computer Human Interaction special interest group. He has participated and coordinated several research and development projects. He has published 6 books and more than 100 articles in journals and edited volumes. He is scientific responsible of the CoSyLlab (Computer Supported Learning Engineering) research group (http://cosy.ds.unipi.gr).
